Brussels time. The call runs in two stages: a short proposal at the first deadline, and a full proposal only for those who pass it.

Diseases covered: cardiovascular, diabetes, chronic respiratory and chronic kidney disease. Minimum consortium: three independent legal entities, each established in a different country, at least one in an EU Member State.

The full topic text is available on the European Commission funding portal. This page is not a summary of the call: it is an open invitation to join the consortium we are putting together.

Who we are looking for

Clinical partnersHospitals, university clinics and research institutes with experience in early-stage clinical studies and the capacity to enrol patients in cardiovascular, diabetes, respiratory or kidney disease. Technology partnersCompanies and research groups contributing devices, platforms, data infrastructure or regulatory and health-economics expertise to the intervention being validated.

What we bring to the consortium

We are an Italian consultancy specialised in the management of publicly funded research projects. We do not compete with your science: we take care of the work packages that clinical and research teams have to deliver anyway, and that take time away from the ward and the lab.

  • Partner search and consortium building: mapping candidates country by country, first contact, and roles and shares agreed in writing before submission;
  • Proposal coordination: timeline, work package structure, budget, and consistency across partner contributions;
  • Project and financial management: reporting, amendments, deadlines and obligations towards the granting authority, through to final reporting;
  • Communication and dissemination: strategy, visual identity, scientific events, press relations and project web pages. In Horizon Europe this is a mandatory work package, and it is the one most often left to the last minute.
One thing worth checking before you reply. This topic expects proposals built on a completed proof of concept of safety and efficacy, with preclinical work finished, a draft clinical protocol already written and evidence of early consultation with ethics and regulatory bodies. If your work is at that stage, the timeline is tight but realistic. If it is not, this is not the right call.
